Are the bright lights of Las Vegas on the cards for AJ?
Unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is waiting on Wladimir Klitschko to make a decision on whether he will face him in a rematch later this year, or whether the Ukrainian will hang up his gloves and walkaway from the sport.
After fighting in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in April, Joshua is hoping that the lure of Las Vegas will make Klitschko fight on and give the fans the rematch they want to see.
The first fight was a spectacular showdown between the two, with both Klitschko and Joshua hitting the canvas, before Joshua got back up and stopped Klitschko in round 11. After a barrage of punches early on in round 11, Joshua put Klitschko down twice but on both occasions he managed to get back up, before taking another barrage of big shots which was enough for referee David Fields to intervene and stop the contest.

After the fight, the talk was about the rematch clause in the contract that Klitschko had, and would he entertain it. Two months on from the big night at Wembley, all the talk has been if the Heavyweights do decide to get it on again where would the fight be staged, with Las Vegas, Nigeria and Cardiff’s Principality stadium talked about as potential hosts.
The early front runner was Cardiff, but with availability in terms of dates for the potential fight an issue, thoughts quickly changed to Las Vegas and Anthony Joshua is hoping the mega money and the lure of the bright lights will be enough to convince Wladimir Klitschko to fight on.
